Bradford Schools Tennis Goes From Strength to Strength
Titus Salt School hosted the Bradford School Sports Partnerships Year 3/4 Red Mini Tennis and the Year 5 Orange Mini Tennis Competitions. Over 1000 boys and girls from different local primary schools across Bradford had been receiving tennis coaching to prepare them for local cluster competitions. Schools attending were the winners and the very best young tennis players from Bradford.
Children developed their tennis skills as the competition went on. Serving improved and forehand and backhand shots were fantastic. Movement around the court made for some very exciting rallies. There was some excellent Tennis played in the right sprit. Congratulations to all who took part. Some participants showed the potential to becoming very successful tennis players.
Congratulations go to Burley Woodhead Primary School who beat St Walburga’s 33 points to 18 to be crowned the Bradford SSP Year 3/4 Red Mini Tennis Champions.
Congratulations also go to St Walburgas Yr 5 team who beat Burley Woodhead to win the Bradford School Sports Partnerships Year 5 Mini Tennis Orange title. Both winning teams and runners up will now progress to the West Yorkshire Youth Games.
Participants from Myrtle Park, Sandal, Newhall Park, All Saints, Hoyle Court and Home Farm should all be praised for their performances and team work.

Salts Tennis Club wins LTS's National Tennis Club of the Year
To all our members and supporters,
It is a great pleasure to announce that Salts Tennis Club has won the LTAs 'National Tennis Club of the year' award at the British Tennis annual awards ceremony in London last week. It is a fantastic achievement for a small community tennis club such as ours, and is a testament to all the hard work everyone has put in over the last few years.
With the support from Titus Salt School and the dedication of our head coach (Richard Senior) we have seen our junior and adult coaching programmes grow from strength to strength and our membership has grown to its largest ever. The committee would like to thank all our members, sponsors and supporters for all their help to date.
Please see below the press release.
