Nab Wood Bounce Back
Last Wednesday saw the Aire Valley School Sports Partnership and Oakbank School Sports Partnership annual trampolining competition.
The judges had been on the course and were ready. Nab Wood Trampoliners had been practising and were coached by Mike Abbott as well as their teachers to be ready for the day.
The schools arrived, Nab Wood School were second to perform. All performers tried their best and had a chance to perform their routine twice if they wished.
The results were in, and at around 5 o'clock medals were given out. We were really impressed and proud with how Nab Wood School did. Sadiya Haneef gained a Gold in the U14 Standard routine, Arif Nasir gained a Silver in the Under 14 Boys Standard, Dineo Moutang gained a Bronze in the Under 16 Standard Girls and Laima Harrison gained a Bronze in the Under 14 Elite Girls.
A really good competition with some excellent performances. Well done to all who took part.

Johnnie Crouch from Nab Wood has been chosen to represent the Aire Valley School Sports Partnership at the end of March 2010 at the Step into Sport Camp in Louborough.

Been in post nearly 3 years.
Biggest achievements: gaining a County FA Secondary School Award for Girls Football and running three Sporting Champion Events
I really enjoy working with the three primary schools and organising festivals, also the Ability Counts events have been really successful and rewarding for the pupils who have taken part in them.
Interests: I play racket sports and enjoy swimming - in June 2010 I am doing a mile open water swim in a lake.
I support Colchester United Football Club and travel to away games in the North. |
