Quest Taekwondo Success

Quest Taekwondo, based in Bingley, Keighley and Baildon, followed up their success at the Nottingham Cup in February with further medals at the Scottish Cup at Grangemouth.
 
In March we reported that brother-sister Taekwondo athletes Natasha (13, of Silsden) and Liam (8, of Silsden) Burdock claimed Gold medals at the Nottingham Cup.
 
The pair continued their fine form with impressive victories at the Scottish Cup competition in Grangemouth over the weekend.

Onna Ju-Jitsu Club success 
 
Onna Ju-Jitsu recently celebrated success with 17 juniors achieving Black Belt status at the World Ju-Jitsu Federation headquarters based in Fazakerley, Liverpool. 2 women achieving Shodan (1st Degree black belt) and a further 2 achieving Nidan (2nd Degree black belt).
 
19 students completing the Young Leaders Award were supported by Sports Leaders UK. 328 students successfully completing their gradings at The Khidmat Centre working in partnership with the PCSO in Bierley and establishing a new martial arts club @ Bierley Community Centre (sessions to start after Easter).
 

      

Baildon Jitsu Club win

Team Shield

 

Baildon Jitsu Club won the Team Shield for the Junior Jitsu Judo Nationals for the 5th Year on the run, with an outstanding result. They took a team of 37 plus some Young Samurais 4 to 5 year olds who took part in mini Jitsu section.

 

Well done to all those brave juniors who took part in this event in Walsall Judo Centre. Twenty teams from around the UK took part in this annual event.

 

The instructors Raj Soren, Rob & Emma Ashcroft, as well as Graham Smith and Jyoti Soren, Club Manager were very proud of their team for achieving first place again. It was a tough competition and other teams were hot on their heels.
