We hope that in early May the YST will announce golf’s inclusion as a priority sport for 2010/11 following the outcome of a recent presentation at the National Competition Review Panel. Golf’s priority competition will be a KS2 Tri-Golf competition under the banner of Golf Roots. In the mean time, if you are planning to run a SSP or county Tri-Golf competition this summer term and would like to enter the national competition for a place at the GB final in Loughborough on the 29th September 2010 to coincide with the Ryder Cup, please visit the link below to download a standardised competition resource and results sheet: http://www.golf-foundation.org/page.aspsection=280§ionTitle=Golf+Competitions Entries for the national final will only be accepted using this Golf Roots Primary School Competition format and results sheet. Regional winners will be selected virtually. If there is not a county final planned, county winners can also be selected virtually from SSP results using the official competition format and score sheet. Virtual county entries should be directed via your Golf Foundation Regional Development Officer. Golf Roots KS3 Competition As part of its Schools Competition Pathway, England Golf will be developing a KS3 School Club Link competition over the next 12 months that we hope to officially launch in September 2011. For further guidance on running KS3 events over the next 12 months, please look at the resources available in your comprehensive Competition Toolkit that you should all have been sent or consult with your Regional Development Officer. If you have any queries, please contact me at: brendon@golf-foundation.org Golf Roots KS4/5 Competition Also, if you would like to enter the McPartlin SSP Trophy, a mixed ability event played over 18 holes at a golf club, please follow the link below to the updated guidelines and a results sheet: http://www.golf-foundation.org/page.asp?section=280§ionTitle=Golf+Competitions This event will be run by the English Schools Golf Association.
