Aire Valley School Pupils & Partner Primaries show the Old Skool Way
'What a fun week this has been'... The week began with Aire Valley Key Stage 3 pupils taking part in Old Skool Sports Days in their PE lessons, they tried events like three legged race, Limbo, Hop Scotch and Tug of War - see photos attached. The results from the events will go towards the final A-J K-Z house points for the year. Then on Wednesday morning it was Frizinghall Primary Schools turn to have their Old Skool Sports Day, with help from the Sports Leaders and 4 Sports Leaders from Aire Valley School we ran 2 seperate Sports Days - the Limbo was tightly contested with the eventual winner managing to use the correct technique an go under the pole at 86cms! The Tug of War was also a close fought battle with the evtual winners just being pipped at the post by an all girl team!..the event culminatd with an attempt at the World Record Egg and Spoon simultaneous participation event, at Frizinghall we added 50 children and adults to the final total with myself and the leaders taking part too! We then raced up to Heaton St Barnabas School where the whole school was out taking part in the World Record attempt adding approx another 350 to the total. A thoroughly enjoyable School Sports Week.... Miss Brooks - Aire Valley School
