British Colleges Sport Great Offer!

British Colleges Sport (BCS) has agreed to waive their standard membership fee for schools wishing to enter the Badminton Team Cup and Individual event. BADMINTON England have negotiated this arrangement with BCS for this year and will reviewed following the competition.

This is fantastic opportunity for students who competed in the Center Parcs National Schools Championship last year and are now no longer eligible.  Affiliation Form

 

Titus Salt Awarded Performance Status

Olympian Donna Kellogg officially cut the golden ribbon to officially open the Bradford Kobras Performance Centre on Monday 1st February. The opening was held at Titus Salt School, principle training venue to the Performance Centre.

The master of ceremonies Sue Foster, Chairperson for Bradford Kobras Performance Centre, invited a number of key partners and advocates for Performance Centre. Speakers at the launch included; Paul Staincliffe (Chairman of Bradford & District League/Baildon Bridge BC), Jo Clarke (BADMINTON England), Tony Kingham (Yorkshire Badminton Association), Tim Shipman (Treasurer of PC/Bradford Kobras BC), Sue Mansfield head of Titus Salt and Councillor John Cole.


Mrs Foster commented on the launch; "Having Donna here was a real boost for the event. So many volunteers and Badminton enthusiasts in Bradford have worked hard to achieve this status We had a wonderful launch and the icing on the cake was Donna playing the golden shuttle rally with Dominic our youngest player!"

Jo Clarke, Regional Manager for Yorkshire & the North East spoke of the newly accredited Performance Centre; "I would like to congratulate the dedicated committee members at Bradford Kobras Performance Centre who have worked extremely hard to get to this point as an accredited BADMINTON England Performance Centre. The PC offers fantastic opportunities for players to flourish and achieve Badminton at the highest level possible. Clarke continued; "Bradford Kobras becomes the 6th Performance Centre in Yorkshire, and is one of 28 performance centres nationwide"
